In IEP advocacy, empathy means understanding the unique challenges students face. It's about compassionate action to ensure their educational journey is supported.

Advocating for IEPs is an act of kindness, patience, and empowerment. It paves the way for children to dream big and be challenged in a meaningful way.

This is a very powerful video from a parent filling out a common assessment used in schools. Part of my job as an advocate is to help parents navigate this and to listen when they tell me how hard it was.

As parents were constantly arguing and fighting for something our children need and deserve. I am completing the Vineland test here for C. If you have never had to complete one of these test consider yourself lucky. This test covers various abilities from communication, to self help skills, and adaptive behavior.
