Hi Everyone! Check out Essex-Stembridge Rec Council Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for all ages! Registration starts tonight 6:30-8pm and Thursday 6:30-8pm.

The classes will start July 9th and be Tu/Th 6:30-7:30 pm or 7:30 - 8:30 pm thru Aug 15th.

All 4 of my kids (8/6/5/4 yo), myself, and their dad all train in this sport. My 8 year old is autistic and has global motor delays. It has been an amazing sport for his confidence and coordination. It is an incredible sport for women and girls and has changed the whole way I see the world.

Meeting my ghost after coming Home, realizing that finding unconditional love doesn't come without sacrifice and heartbreak sometimes, and feeling like I can say those things I always needed to say and ask for things that I never believed I deserved. I Clawed, sobbed, fu**ed up more times than I can count, barely made it through so many days, and everyday I still have the nagging questions of, "Am I enough to the people I love? Am I the parent that I should be? Am I asking the right questions and following intentions built out of love and not fear?"
Go onward today and everyday with fear and awe and love for yourself. The questions in your head are legit, terrifying, and may even signal the end of your current road...but I am surviving and you are surviving and we will continue to go forward with fear and love and an open heart. Love those who love you deeply and with the honesty of loving kindness. We can do this. We can all stick together. Sometimes you gotta wake up and cry it out. Sometimes you gotta put it up on social media because connection keeps us alive. Vulnerability makes us Warriors. The possibilities for our futures are wide open especially when they seem the most overwhelming. Make your changes, state your truth, and love the s**t out of everyone no matter what.
