SERVICE LEARNING OPPORTUNITY - Bring in old newspapers or magazines to Ms. Muller's office (newspapers preferred) to help SOMOS out on international night. This will help make piñatas for childcare. Donations are very appreciated.

SOMOS got First Aid and CPR, AED trained tonight in preparation for our Intercambio program that begins Sept 30th. Students will be teaching English and Spanish to City parents and teachers and offer free child care!

While we plan on having a crisis free program, it is important to always be prepared!

Happy International Women’s Day from SOMOS!!

Yesterday, SOMOS went to Annapolis, MD to meet 1-on-1 with 12 Baltimore state senators and delegates. They advocated on behalf of issues such as: making college more affordable, investing in public over private K-12 schools, greater access to healthy food in communities that lack options, better quality nutrition in school lunches, equitable class credits for ESOL students at the college level, improved pay for para educators, and more!
