What a busy Day today!! I got to witness a Re- introduced, National End Parkinson’s Act, that is modeled after the Alzheimer’s legislation Unanimously PASSED the House Commerce & Energy Committee, just a few more steps! Next it on to the full House of Representatives for a full vote, ( fingers crossed that it passes) if it does it’s off to the Senate or Congress, I am so excited I’m not sure…I will stop here as to not get too far ahead with Excitement!
This was an incredible Bi- Partisan vote of 407-18. !!
This is a victory for patients, suffering families,
Healthcare Professionals and Caregivers.
Condolences and Prayers to Congresswoman Wexton, on her recent diagnosis of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). This is an Atypical Parkinsonism, it’s a frontotemporal disorder, it to has no cure.
Thank you Congressman Wexton for your support and bravery in sharing your story.
Thank you to lead sponser’s
Representative Bilirakis (R-FLA) and
Representative Tonko (D-NY) as well as the entire House Commerce and Energy Committee for their overwhelming bipartisan vote! Thank you to Health and Human Services Secretary and staff, Advocates, Patients, Medical Professionals, Caregivers.
Thank you to AARP National CEO, Joanne Jenkins, Director Nancy LaMonde, and your entire staff for your support.
Maryland AARP Director Hank Greenberg,
Senior Assistant Director Tammy Bresnahan your entire staff for supporting me, and all of Maryland in our successful quest for an Parkinson’s Registry.
Thank You to Maryland’s legislators for the passing of bill
Thank you Governor Moore and Lt. Governor Miller, for signing Maryland’s legislation!
