The dream of having hours to write, read, and edit, emulating the kind of writer’s schedule we’ve read about in the , is not feasible for most of us. But that’s not meant to be discouraging. Rather than compare the realities of our schedules and day jobs against those of another era, let the Paris Review interviews inspire you by seeing an example of what it looks like when a writer honors their time. ⏱️
Do you honor your time? Or waste it? Read the whole piece at the link in bio.
And join us for our Tuesday night co-writing session, if scheduling writing in your calendar will help you actually do it. Link in bio for details.

We’re growing, and we’re looking for someone to grow with us. ✨
Hewes House is hiring a part-time freelance sales role that is remote, flexible, and perfect for someone who genuinely loves connecting people with resources that can change their creative life.
If you know a writer who’s been spinning their wheels, stuck on a manuscript, or just needs someone in their corner, that’s who we serve. Your job would be helping us connect with them.
DM us if you’re interested or know someone who might be. We’d love to talk. 🧡

A Reddit user wrote about their disillusionment with writing after getting an MFA. Josh and Dasha have thoughts.
If writing is your passion, nobody can take that away from you. And stalking the writing subreddit seems like an indication that it’s indeed a passion, even if you’re no longer writing. Dasha calls it “window shopping” your writing life. It might be time to save up the money and buy the damn dress. 👗 (Or get off Reddit and write instead.)
