Thank you to this year’s Baltimore Summer Funding Collaborative for providing a collective $4.9 million to allow 8,500 young people a chance to learn, earn, and grow this summer!
When we put out our call for funding this year, private funders showed up for Baltimore’s young people in a big way. Together, this engaged group of new and returning partners marks the highest level of private funding the collaborative has ever seen!
Thank you for stepping up in support of our city’s future.

Summer is a critical time for young people in our city. The Baltimore City Youth Data Hub's first use case looks at trends in summer youth programming so that we can better show up for Baltimore's young people all year round.

We’re excited to announce this year’s Baltimore Summer Funding Collaborative grantees! Fifty-seven programs across 54 organizations serving young people throughout Baltimore City were selected.
Together, they’ll ensure young people have access to safe, engaging, and consistent summer experiences that support learning, strong attendance, and healthy development. Funded programs offer a wide range of opportunities including academic enrichment, arts, sports, workforce exposure, and social-emotional supports designed to meet the diverse interests and needs of Baltimore’s youth across the City.

We were proud to come together recently to celebrate the release of The Apprenticeship That Saved My Life by Cory McCray—and to gather with nearly 200 youth apprentices for a powerful moment centered on opportunity, mentorship, and what’s possible through apprenticeship.
We got to spend the morning at Coppin State University to hear real stories from Cory McCray, students, and employers, and to recognize those who have opened their doors and provided meaningful mentorship to apprentices.
The energy in the room was undeniable—and it’s just the beginning.
Check out the photos for some highlights from the event! ⬇️
