A triumphant day yesterday. Three of my high school students competed in the Maryland / DC National Association of Teachers of Singing vocal competition. Congratulations to Gabi, Sameeha and Addison who all advanced to the Regional competition in March. Special Congratulations to Gabi who won the High School Commercial Music Category. She performed Angel from Montgomery in the winners recital.

It was an honor to participate as a judge and I enjoyed connecting and reconnecting with the other amazing voice teachers in our district.

Last night at the Engineers Club, I had the most unforgettable evening surrounded by my amazing family and friends. Turning 60 feels incredible, but what made it truly special was celebrating with the people who have shaped my life with love, laughter, and support.

I am beyond grateful for each and every one of you who came to celebrate with me, for the kind words, the warm hugs, and the joyful memories we created together. Your presence meant the world to me, and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect way to step into this next chapter of life.

With great sadness Charles and I said goodbye to Myrtle on Saturday February 22. She suddenly became ill during the week prior and was not able to survive. She was very special and by far the most social and loving of the 6 Borzoi that we’ve had. She loved to cuddle and gave wonderful emotional support to my voice students. She turned 9 two weeks ago.
