The Recycling Team visited Great Kids Farm where they learned how to make a charcuterie, and about food preservation, fighting climate change with composting, and the impact of foods on climate change.

To bring together our Creative Me and On the Move themes, students used their imagination and creativity to design and construct their own vehicles. After completing their projects, they participated in a classroom “drive-in” experience and proudly hosted a car show to showcase their creations for their families.

To celebrate the 100th day of school students participated in a variety of themed activities. They dressed as if they were 100 years old, danced to songs that incorporated counting to 100, and enjoyed a special guest reader. Students also completed a 100’s chart activity and created necklaces using 100 pieces of Froot Loops.

Greetings and good evening Graceland Park community. It was wonderful to see the students back at school today. Principal Mullally has put in multiple requests for plowing around the school. With this request, we are asking all parents and staff members who park on O'Donnell Street to neatly park on the side that is closest to the building. Once again, we are asking all parents and staff members who park on O'Donnell Street to neatly park on the side that is closest to the building. If the city does come to plow during the school day, they will have access to the other side of the street and that will help us so we can get back to normal operations as soon as possible. Parking on O'Donnell Street closest to the building will assist with the flow of traffic during entry and dismissal until this happens. Due to the ice that remains on school grounds, all students need to go directly home if they are not involved in a school supervised after-school program. This is to ensure all students are safe at all times while on school property. As a reminder, if a student completes their assigned work by Thursday and turns it into their teacher, that completed work will count as present attendance for Thursday and Friday.

Greetings! As we recover from one of the worst snowstorms in 10 years, we appreciate everyone’s patience and collaboration during this week’s school closures and transition to virtual learning. We are deeply grateful for the dedication of our team, especially our custodians, for their tireless work preparing our facilities to open. Because of their hard work, and absent any additional inclement weather emergencies, it is anticipated that Graceland Park will open on Monday, February 2, 2026 in-person for a regular school day

For the return on Monday, we ask that you please manage expectations. Plan accordingly as we know that conditions will be less than ideal. Dress for the weather, build in extra travel time, and use caution while commuting, as snow and ice may remain in some areas. Parking will be LIMITED around the school. This includes areas for student drop-off and pick-up. Allow yourself extra time to make sure your student can get to the car safely and be mindful of other families doing the same. Please be patient and mindful that this is not ideal for anyone, but we need to keep students safety first.

As you arrive and depart, please remain alert to icy sidewalks, entrances, and parking areas. Walk carefully, use handrails where available, and be mindful of other students and families navigating winter conditions.

Thank you for your flexibility and continued dedication to our school communities. We are eager to welcome our students back and look forward to seeing you on Monday!

¡Saludos!
