From Ms. Waldrop - This past weekend, sophomore Engineering students participated in the Maryland State MESA Competitions.

The Wearable Tech Team consisting of Liam Casperite, Connor Shay, Owen Klos, and Jared Bonsol won 3rd place in the Wearable Tech Design Challenge. They designed a headband that would alert coaches of extreme temperatures of their tennis players to avoid overheating and exhaustion.

The Community Clean Up Team consisting of Lucas Chen, Ian Hung, and Myl Sabanal won 2nd place in the Community Clean Up Design Challenge. They designed a device that would clean up trash from an aquatic environment to assist with healing our environment.

If you see any of these students, congratulate them on a job well done! They spent a lot of time working on their designs and did a fantastic job!
