Homeschool Hub

So often I hear people wondering what's out there for high school and middle school for them to connect and see others their age.

Homeschool Hub was realized from this felt need. We host groups for middle school & high school. The groups meet twice a month. We also host events for grades 4-8.

We had an absolute blast meeting so many (and shooting off Alka-Seltzer Rockets) last Friday at the Heartland Back-to-School event!

Now accepting interest for our STEAM Learning Groups.

Starting June 7th, it's our Summer Book Club... annnnd we're doing Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!

Books Clubs are great for struggling readers with some built-in accountability, as well as something fun for avid readers. If you haven't yet already- it's time to sign up at www.homeschoolhubca.com !

Each meeting you can expect ice breakers and community building, discussion of what we've read in the book, and an activity/ craft, all with other local students. The novel is divided into 30 short chapters, and we'll be doing 7-8 chapters a week.

We had a blast wrapping it up yesterday: comparing the book to the movie, pinning the tail on the pig, creating spider parachutes, and more! 🕷️ 🕸️ 🐖

Coming up tomorrow for our high school and middle school groups, CATAPULTS! ➸➸➸

Students will use the engineering design process as they work in teams to brainstorm ideas, create two designs using commonly found materials, and complete three tests (accuracy, power, and tower) to determine the winning design.
