GoFundMe is not life insurance…

I’ve watched this exact thing happen more times than I want to count. Someone passes away with no coverage in place, and within a day, the family’s got a GoFundMe up online, asking strangers to help pay for the funeral.

Sit with that for a second. Your family, during the worst week of their life, asking people they’ve never met for money because there was no plan.

A GoFundMe isn’t guaranteed. Some people share it, some scroll right past it. Maybe it covers half the cost. Maybe it sits there with $200 raised and a deadline that already passed. There’s no set amount and no set timeline, and your family is left waiting to see what shows up.

For a long time, I let circumstances, lies, betrayal, setbacks, gossip, attacks, and criticism talk me out of who I was. I didn’t lose myself all at once — it happened slowly, one opinion at a time, until I started believing things about myself that were never true. I put everyone else first. Their input. Their needs. Their goals. Their missions. And somewhere in all that giving, I forgot to show up for myself. I neglected my health. I let my mind get crowded with noise that wasn’t mine to carry. I drifted from God without even realizing how far I’d gone — until I was standing there, broken into pieces I didn’t know how to put back together.

But this isn’t a sad story. This is the turning point.

Because I found my way back. Not by fixing everything overnight, but by surrendering — fully, wholeheartedly, no more holding back. I gave it all to God and let Him start healing & rebuilding what the world tried to tear down. Little by little, one day at a time. And now? Access to me isn’t free anymore. My peace, my time, my mindset, my energy — I protect it like it’s sacred, because it is.

If you’ve been giving pieces of yourself away trying to keep everyone else happy, let this be your sign. You can come back. You can rebuild. And when you do, you won’t just be who you were before — you’ll be who you were always meant to become.

I know that’s blunt. But it’s the truth nobody says out loud.

No safety net. No backup plan. Just fire, faith, and full commitment.

That’s not recklessness — that’s what it looks like when you finally stop hedging your bets on God’s promise over your life.

Even when people doubt you, belittle you, laugh at you, or criticize your path — don’t let it stop you. They can’t see what you see. 😤 They’re not in the room where God showed you the vision.

Most people quit right before the breakthrough because they built an escape route instead of burning the bridge behind them. You don’t need a plan B when you’re fully sold out on plan A.

Go all in. He already did.

They counted me out. I never counted myself out.

There’s a difference between disappearing and rebuilding — and most people can’t tell them apart from the outside. They saw the silence and called it surrender. They saw the slow season and assumed the fire was gone. What they couldn’t see was the version of me God was quietly putting back together behind closed doors — the one nobody got a front-row seat to.

I didn’t lose my drive. I lost my patience for chasing things that weren’t mine to chase, and I traded it for something better: clarity. While they were writing me off, I was being rewritten. Stronger convictions. Sharper focus. A mindset that isn’t shaken by opinions, timelines, or who believed in me and who didn’t.

This isn’t a comeback built on revenge. It’s one built on purpose. I’m not proving anyone wrong — I’m walking in what God already said was right, and I’m doing it with a vision locked in like never before.
