Rincon Environmental Education Center Nature Trail The Rincon Environmental Education Center in the Angeles National Forest is home to a very short nat S. The trail have two wooden bridges which span the creek.

The Rincon Environmental Education Center is host to numerous events during the year, with tens of thousands of school children visiting the U. Forest Service facility to learn about the local flora and fauna within the Angeles National Forest located within the San Gabriel Mountains of Southern California. Behind the Education Center is a very short nature trail which crosses micro climates in a

generally riparian area. The trail boasts numerous oak trees, poison oak, and various invasive species of plants which were introduced in to the forest in decades past. The Nature Trail's maintenance is primarily the responsibility of the San Gabriel Mountains Trailbuilders however the Angeles Volunteer Association, West Fork Conservancy, Fisheries Resources Volunteer Corps, and other volunteer groups work to keep the nature trail open and available for school children who visit every Summer.

The snow at Mount Baldy / Big Bear has been washed away by the light rain, but more rain is expected which is supposed to be heavy, Jackie and Shadow have tried to remove the pine cone again but it keeps rolling back, mostly. It is at least out of the way now, mostly.

The Rincon Environmental Education Center did not burn during the fire, however areas to the West did burn, as well as North and South. The state of the Education Center and whether it is being utilized or not is something I do not know yet.

There is lots of poison oak which needs to be cut back away from the trail before Summer comes and children start using the trail.

The upper bridge is looking good, the wood is still solid and the foundations and drainage concrete is in good shape.

The lower bridge is looking pretty good. It should maybe be sealed again, maybe.
