⚡️ A little science, right on time for the rain! 🌧️

We explored static electricity with balloons and our own hair, then connected those tiny charges to the BIG version we see in the sky—lightning and thunder! ⚡️

With rain finally making its way back to us, the timing couldn’t have been better. I love when what we’re learning inside the classroom connects so naturally to the world right outside our windows. 🤍

A little team appreciation because these ladies deserve to be celebrated! 🤍🌿

When I dreamed of Greenhouse Montessori, I envisioned a school filled with love, creativity, and connections. A place where learning could look a little different, feel more natural, and leave plenty of room for the magic of childhood.

Watching that dream continue to grow, not only through the children and families we serve, but through the incredible people who have become part of it, is something I struggle to put into words. I’ll try 😊

Sra. Vivi, my partner in the classroom and fellow Montessori guide, brings so much love, patience, and dedication to our little school. Her vibrant personality, infectious energy, and the beautiful way she shares Spanish with our children bring so much richness to our classroom. I love that our students get to experience another language so naturally, through relationships, conversations, songs, and everyday moments. Having someone beside me who shares a passion for these children and believes in what we are creating means more than I can express. I am so grateful for the heart, laughter, and joy she brings to our days!

Ms. Lori, our wonderful art teacher, brings her own kind of magic to Greenhouse! Her creativity, enthusiasm, and genuine joy for what she does are so apparent. The light in her eyes when she shares these experiences with our children is something special. She reminds us that art is so much more than a finished product. It is expression, exploration, and the freedom to create. I absolutely love watching the children experience art through her eyes!

And Ms. Alex, our wonderful speech-language pathologist, who has come alongside our children to support their communication and growth. Having her knowledge, compassion, and dedication as part of our little school community is such a gift. Every child deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported, and I am so grateful that our students have another incredible person cheering them on and helping them find their voices.

We are a small school. We don’t have a huge staff or endless resources, but what we DO have is a group of women who genuinely care about the children and families we serve. Women who bring their own talents, experiences, and passions to the table and make our school better because of it.

And that is something I am incredibly proud of.

Building something from a dream is one thing. Watching it grow into something that other people believe in and pour their hearts into, too, is something else entirely.

Greenhouse Montessori is becoming something that belongs to all of us. Our teachers, our children, and the families who continue to believe in what we are creating together.

Thank you, ladies, for the love, value, and devotion you bring to our school. For believing in this and helping it become so much more than I could have ever created alone.

There is something really special about watching a dream grow beyond yourself. Seeing our team grow alongside our children and families is a feeling I don’t think I’ll ever quite have the words for entirely.

My heart is full, and I am so grateful for each of you. 🤍🌿

🔴🟡🔵 International Dot Day at Greenhouse Montessori! 🟢🟣🟠

Today we celebrated International Dot Day, a day inspired by the book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds and centered around creativity, courage, and encouraging children to make their own mark.

We read the story together and talked about something we value deeply in our classroom…creativity doesn’t look the same for everyone. Art can be careful and detailed, big and messy, simple or elaborate. There is no one right way to create.

The children searched for dots all around their environment with a little I Spy before moving into three art experiences prepared by Ms. Lori. They explored dot fingerprint art, created their own dot designs, and experimented with colorful hole-punch confetti art.

Days like this give children the freedom to experiment with materials, make their own choices, and see where their ideas take them. The process is just as important as the finished product. ❤️🎨

Happy Dot Day from our little artists at Greenhouse Montessori!

Thanks to the Bring Back the Butterflies North Texas grant, our butterfly garden is doing exactly what it was designed to do! 🦋💛 Today the children discovered dozens of monarch caterpillars enjoying our host plants. Moments like these are why we believe the best learning happens through real experiences. Our butterfly garden has become so much more than a garden…it’s a living classroom where science, curiosity, and wonder grow right alongside the plants. 🐛🌿

Our garden is beginning to share its gifts with us! 🌱🍓🍅🥒

This week we harvested our first strawberries, tomatoes, and one very impressive giant cucumber. The children have spent months planting seeds, watering, weeding, observing, and patiently waiting. Seeing their excitement as they picked and tasted the fruits and vegetables they helped grow has been so much fun!

There is something special about watching a child discover that food doesn’t just come from a grocery store…. it comes from the earth, from sunshine, from rain, and from their own hard work.

These little harvests are a wonderful reminder that growth takes time, patience, and care. We can’t wait to see what else our garden has in store for us this summer! 🌿
