🔎 Early signs of progress are easy to miss.
A patient may not have changed assistance levels yet.
Their outcome score may be the same.
Their walking distance may not look dramatically different.
But function can still be improving.
Look for changes like:
✅ Faster task initiation
✅ Earlier recognition of errors
✅ Quicker correction
✅ Less reliance on UE support
✅ Fewer unnecessary pauses
✅ Better movement efficiency
✅ More repetitions before movement quality changes
✅ Better carryover when the setup or environment changes
These changes matter because they tell you how the patient is performing. Not just whether they completed the task.
And those observations should influence what you progress, what you continue targeting, and how you document the session.
