Interesting article on the future of translation now that AI is here to stay. One non-truth that is often cited (not in this article but in others) is that translation technology has been around since the 1950's and not large changes have occurred. First, that is not true. But, most importantly, they are not taking into account EXPONENTIAL GROWTH. From Khanacademy: "Linear growth is constant. Exponential growth is proportional to the current value that is growing, so the larger the value is, the faster it grows." We are in a very high exponential growth curve with AI. That is why it is moving so fast.
