Wheel pose - - used to be my least favorite and has easily turned into one of my favorites. Continue to practice what you dislike, what scares you and what puts you out of your comfort zone and you will be amazed at your progress. 🙌🏼

This is your daily reminder that the pose is not the goal of yoga, despite what Instagram may encourage you to think.☝🏼️ Letting go of what it looks like, feeling the effect the pose has on your body both mentally and physically, and having fun IS the goal. I liked this one a lot - didn't even know my body could twist like that! .

We can plan and plan all we want but life is going to happen regardless. It's going to throw curve balls at us and it's going to be a windy road. If we want to get through it with grace and peace of mind, we have to let go. Let go of expectations, control, wants, needs, what it looks like to others and even what it feels like inside. Sitting back as an observer allows us to feel all aspects of life - good and bad - and connects us to all. The less we try to control, the less we feel separate. I've had a day full of professional career change and it definitely hasn't unfolded as I had planned. So tonight's class for the lovely group was designed around the mantra of letting go. Whether in a pose or a tough situation, take a moment to look inside and see what else you can let go of. You'd be surprised at what's hiding in there. ✨
