The past few months have been a whirlwind! I've had the privilege of speaking to thousands of people about the crucial role of trust in high-performing teams.
What's stood out the most to so many people is the profound impact that trust, or its absence, can have on team outcomes and performance in the long run. So, what is a lack of trust costing your team?
A study by Paul J. Zak, featured in the Harvard Business Review, showed that compared with low-trust companies, people at high-trust companies report:
⭐ 74% less stress,
⭐ 106% more energy at work,
⭐ 50% higher productivity,
⭐ 13% fewer sick days,
⭐ 76% more engagement,
⭐ 29% more satisfaction in their lives, and
⭐ 40% less burnout.
I personally find these numbers staggering. They so clearly point to the need for building trust in our work environments, not only for the health and wellbeing of all employees, but for the company bottom line.
