Well, this is me.
It's me, 6 days before I turn 49 years old.
This is me with 20 years in recovery.
This is me after more than a few relapses, with alcohol, but not falling back into, "playin wit my nose". I'm on my longest stretch without consuming any amount of alcohol. 4 years...
This is me after spiraling into a place, for the entirety of 2025, that saw me, LITERALLY, only step foot out of my apartment for doctors appointments, and haircuts.
These last few weeks have been the complete opposite, as I've become very active again. For the first 9 1/2 months of 2025, the sun only kissed my face, and fresh air was only able to "hug me", on the days of my doctor or haircut appointments...
I have neighbors that, until 6+ weeks ago, had not seen me since August or September of 2023!
I thank God for Love, Life, Family, and all who have crossed my path.

A young 24 year old player, for the Dallas Cowboys, took his life last week. His name was Marshawn Kneeland.
It took me almost 3 days to process and get a grip on my thoughts,
emotions, and feelings, after his death. It was a tremendously heavy hit to me, as I have only returned to feeling mentally and emotionally well and healthy again, for a few weeks now.
I cannot put everything that I felt and experienced into a Social Media post, so there may be a video coming, on the topic of mental wellness, and the journey that I have found myself on and the anguish that I experienced this week, due to the passing of Marshawn Kneeland.

Our first virtual Spanish DWIE Class is in the books!
Had a few technical difficulties that we will have sorted out by the time tomorrow's session begins.
It may seem like an extremely simple thing to have done, but it was just a window into our next level of serving our community and growing into other things as well.
I.O.P. is STILL on the way. Trust, it IS coming soon!!

We, here at Impact Education Center, are extremely proud and EXCITED to announce that we will soon be an approved State of Texas and Travis County Adult Probation provider of Intensive Outpatient Treatment, or I.O.P.
It's been a long time coming and we are looking forward to serving our community as only we can.
