Our recent Flossing STEAM activity built on last month's lessons about pediatric dental hygiene in a fun, hands-on way.

Children explored how floss moves and works while testing ideas, solving problems, and making real connections to what they had already learned. It was a great example of how classroom learning at Trillium Montessori grows over time through thoughtful, child-led experiences.

Our Trillium Montessori students spent February learning about Community Helpers, the people who keep our neighborhoods safe, healthy, and happy.

Through stories, art, and presentations, children discovered how doctors, firefighters, teachers, and many others work together to make our world a better place.

This Montessori project helped children practice gratitude, connection, and curiosity about the people who help every day.

Parent Teacher Conferences are coming up the week of March 9 at Trillium Montessori.

These conferences give families dedicated time to meet one-on-one with their child's teacher to reflect on the school year, review previously set goals, and discuss each child's growth and progress. For families of graduating children, this time is especially helpful as we begin conversations around kindergarten readiness and next steps.

Conference sign-ups will be available through Brightwheel. Children's daily schedules will remain the same throughout the week.

At Trillium Montessori, our students are learning about President’s Day through stories, conversation, and creativity.

This week, classrooms will explore what it means to be a leader by learning about some of our country’s presidents and the ways they helped shape our history. Children will also enjoy a President’s Day craft to celebrate their new understanding through art and imagination.

In Montessori learning, holidays like this encourage curiosity, respect, and awareness of the world around us. It’s a wonderful way to connect history, creativity, and hands-on learning in a meaningful way for children.

Our Trillium Montessori students took on a Bow and Arrow STEAM activity this February, learning how motion, force, and tension work together.

With creativity and focus, children built their own mini bow-and-arrow designs, tested them, and made adjustments to see how far their arrows could fly.

Hands-on projects like this are the perfect blend of science and fun the Montessori way.

Happy Groundhog Day from Trillium Montessori!

Our students are learning about this fun tradition while exploring the science behind shadows, light, and weather. Through stories, discussion, and observation, children are discovering how people use nature to make predictions and how the sun helps create the shadows we see every day.

This lighthearted celebration connects curiosity with discovery and is a perfect example of learning the Montessori way. Whether the groundhog sees its shadow or not, our classrooms are full of bright smiles and new understanding.
