Betty was born in Mexia, Texas, on May 27th, 1931, a daughter of Dorothy Louise Sherrod Crowder and Clemmie Dewey Crowder, Sr. She married H. Fran Dodson and had seven children. Betty was preceded in death by her husband and also her daughter, Darla Dodson Smith. She is survived by: six children: Debra Dodson, Daniel Dodson, Donald Dodson, Douglas Dodson, Denise Dodson Foster and Dewey Dodson; nin
e grandchildren: Emma Donaldson, Audrey Donaldson, Stephen Dodson, Adam Foster, Rachel Foster Wells, Nicole Dodson, David Dodson, Dewey Caleb Dodson and Katherine Smith; and nine great-grandchildren: Maia Goswami, Townes Foster, Ryhan Dodson, Wyatt Wells, Sutton Wells, Landry Wells, Emily Crawford, Matthew Crawford and Adam Crawford.
