Welcome to Shiksha. Founded with the vision of endowing our children with education in the customs, practices and traditions of Hinduism, Shiksha aims to nourish them with the wealth of India’s Arts and Cultural heritage and instill in them a lifelong commitment to Hindu spiritual values; the values we cherish as parents and wish to pass on to our children.

This semester, we are excited to offer a variety of classes, including Bharatanatyam, folk dance, English, Hindi, Marathi, math, and yoga for both kids and adults, among many others.

Our Dot Mandala & Lippan Art Class teacher Gowri will conduct a special workshop for adults and kids. They will learn
Dot Mandala:
-Learn about dot mandala art types and what kind of paint to use.
-Get to know what surfaces work with this technique.
-Acquire skills to use dotting tools for different strokes.

Lippan Art:
-Learn what materials are used in this art form.
-Know which designs are primarily used in Lippan art.
-Understand how to use clay and craft mirrors for Lippan art.
At the end of the session, kids will enhance their creativity skills, self-awareness, learn to express themselves, and improve self-confidence.
