Fun studio things! Scale building races with the kiddos!
The beginning of a new year is always a daunting journey. It is an opportunity for change, experiencing new things, and growing. Already, there have been many meaningful experiences in my daily teaching. Yesterday, I had a student realize that in her song "Bow-Wow Chorus" by Margaret Goldston were the sounds of dogs barking. This might seem small, but the sheer look of excitement and realization was absolutely wonderful.
Music is such a special thing we all have the right to enjoy and experience. It helps us celebrate our most cherished experiences and get us through the hardest of times. I hope that we all continue to find peace in the sweet, sweet sounds of these "air wiggles."

Yesterday’s lesson involved learning a piece by Rameau and was reminded about his keyboard piece “Le Poule” (The Hen). Such a great example of how descriptive music can be. Listen to the little chickens pecking and flapping around!

🗨 “Teaching is probably the noblest profession in the world -- the most unselfish, difficult, and honorable profession, but it is also the most unappreciated, underrated, underpaid, and under-praised profession in the world.”
