Today was full of hands-on learning, creativity, and a whole lot of fun!

Our little chefs got to press their very own tortillas (and yes… they were VERY proud 🥹), then our musicians crafted colorful maracas to shake up the celebration! 🎶 🪇💃🕺

Learning through play never tasted so good! 😋

🔢 Numbers Hunt Fun!

Each child was assigned a number and a matching dauber, then set off to “hunt” for their number around the table and dot it!

This activity builds number recognition, focus, and fine motor skills, all through play!

Spring has officially bloomed on our shelves at The Growing Patch 🌷🐰

Our new activities are designed to invite hands-on exploration while building real skills through play:
🌸 Practical life (watering plants, caring for our space)
🌸Fine motor + pre-writing (stamping, tracing, tongs & transfer work)
🌸Early literacy & math (letter eggs, counting carrots)
🌸Problem-solving (puzzles + shape work) 🌸 Sensory play (spring textures + themed trays)

Everything is intentionally set up to encourage independence, confidence, and those sweet “I did it myself!” moments 🌟

This is where learning feels like play—and spring might just be our most magical season yet 🌼

Sometimes the sky is gray… so we make our own rainbow. 🌈

Moments like this are why I love running The Growing Patch. Watching friendships grow, seeing imaginations come alive outdoors, and creating a warm little community for these kiddos is the best part of my job.
