Anyone else get stuck here?🙋‍♀️

When we procrastinate, not only are we not doing the thing, we’re stressing about not doing the thing. We get frustrated and blame ourselves for lack of willpower.

Instead see procrastination for what it is: a sign that something’s not right. We’re having an emotional response to this thing. So, take a step back and figure out why.

Finding that emotional cause is how we can stop the procrastination and start moving forward with confidence again.

So this is what happens when it RAINS at 30 degrees. All the trees, plants, and flowers become encapsulated in ice. It looks incredible, but it’s causing a LOT of damage from breaking tree branches. The weight of the ice is too much. Crazy.

Should be this way all weekend! 🥶

And winter is back again!❄️

Nothing like 30 degree freezing rain to keep you inside and bundled up.

Just like the weather and season have us turning inward and hunkering down, we all go through natural energy cycles over the course of a day, a week, a month where we’ll naturally want to do less, be still, turn inward, plan and reflect.

And that’s okay. It’s more than okay; it’s essentially. We’re not meant to be out there firing on all cylinders 100% of the time. We can’t always be doing. Sometimes we need to plan, reflect, and allow creativity and new possibilities to flow.

This “downtime” is what propels you forward to your next energy peak. It’s what rejuvenates and inspires you.

So next time you feel that pull to turn inward and hunker down, try not fighting it. It’s part of the process, the journey, as well.

Are you really a ?

For most of my life, I thought that asking for/receiving help was a sign of weakness. I should be able to handle it by myself, right?

No one saw me working until 2 a.m.
No one saw the panic attacks.
No one saw the breakdown and the burnout.
All anyone saw was the success. The end result.

It was exhausting...and lonely.

But we're not meant to go it alone. We're social creatures. We need each other. Asking and receiving help isn't weakness; it's strength. Supporting each other actually makes everyone better. We can go further faster and easier together. It's the smart thing to do.

My word for the year is "up level." I'm ready to step into that better version of me, and I know that I won't be doing it alone. I will take every opportunity to surround myself with amazing people who can challenge me to be that new version. I intend to help do the same for them.
