The Fantastic Kent Cummins has been a magician since 1949, at the age of six, and has performed all over the world. Are you looking for the best entertainment for all ages, energetic, engaging, and FUN? Or do you prefer a virtual magic show, one that is interactive on Zoom? Maybe you need an amazing motivational keynote or other presentation that uses the fascinat
ion and fun of magic to keep everyone involved. Or perhaps an exciting team building retreat would make an important difference in your organization. Perhaps you need an educational school assembly program, or a library program that encourages kids to read. Or maybe a series of after-school classes that are exciting and fun, as kids learn age and developmentally-appropriate magic tricks that they can use to entertain family and friends. Are you looking for an interesting and different way to raise funds for a worthy cause? Have you heard about the Self-Eating Watermelon? "Sometimes, it takes a Magician!"
"The Fantastic Kent Cummins" has been a magician for more than seven decades, and has performed around the world: Germany, France, Korea, Vietnam, New Zealand, Canada and all over the United States. Kent began his love of magic when his dad gave him an A.C. Gilbert Mysto Magic set for Christmas in 1949. When he opened that box and saw all of the wonderful, mysterious things inside, Kent said, "I'm going to be a magician!"
For nearly ten years, Kent called himself, "Mysto the Magician," in hoonor of that first magic set. Kent's first public magic show was in 1952 at the age of 9; his first paid show was in 1953. (He got $3.00, which he spent at the magic shop.) His first summer job, at age 14, was at that same magic shop in San Antonio, Texas. Kent received trophies as the Best Teenage Entertainer at magicians conventions in 1960 and 1961, and continues to be recognized for his achievements as an entertainer. Kent started Fantastic Magic Camp in 1993, the year he turned fifty, as a way to help new generations of children build their self-esteem through the fascination and fun of magic, juggling, and puppets. (Kent is also a certified Juggling Instructor!)
Today, Kent is Director of the Fantastic Magic Center in Georgetown, Texas, which has a museum, research library, and cabaret theater all used to help preserve the art of magic. Like David Copperfield's museum in Las Vegas, Kent's much smaller museum is in a secret location. You have to be invited in order to find it! Would you like to learn more about the wonders of magic?
