Classically trained in art at The Art Institute of Chicago, specializing in fabrics, Laura Roberts h In 2009, her business was renamed Laura Roberts Design.
Laura’s flare for design emerged at an early age when she began sewing at eight years old and created beautiful weavings with her own loom at age 17. Her experience includes working with The George Eastman House, cataloging The Gernsheim House collection of photography at The Harry Ransom Center. After years in a high tech career, Laura Alexander Design was launched when the home Laura built and furnished was selected for the 2002 Austin AIA Homes Tour.

I brought in 2020 in New Orleans. One of the highlights was a visit to the . We spent a long time at the Michael Christenberry exhibition. His work is haunting and relevant today.
“Survived” by Jessica Strahan 2019 (oil, handmade paper) stole the show and won won the top prize at “Louisiana Contemporary” presented by the Helis Foundation.
The Ogden is temporarily closed but has a lot of online programming to@check out!

This is an outtake from a photo shoot we did at the Llano Retreat for with . I was lucky enough to get Bart in action getting Zooey to pose for the photo!
The second photo is Wynn’s perfection with Zooey perfectly in place. Go Zooey and Bart. She adores him, for sure.
If you’ve seen the original photo of the dog trot area, you might notice that our selections for the fly rods on the shou sugi ban wall treatment were not showing the specimen rods. With Bart there to make the selections, you’ll see some of his favorites in these shots.

The Llano retreat in Mason Texas is a true synergy of client, architect, contractor and designer. It’s been a minute since we did this project but also feels like it was yesterday. .Thank you for including me and
