Keys of Life

My piano studio is open again at the Austin Area Urban League. I love watching my students place their hands on the keys. It reminds me that every lesson is bigger than scales and songs. It’s confidence being built, discipline being discovered, and young minds learning that their gifts have a voice.

Keys of Life isn’t just a place to learn piano… it’s a place where potential begins to play out loud. And there is no greater joy than witnessing that music come to life. I still use John Thompson Method Books. I used them when I was a kid. Pieuma is a beginner and she is so smart. She’s going to be amazing. Her posture is great and her fingers are long.

This has ALWAYS been the best part of my day!

George Washington Carver Museum
Session 1: 5:15 - 6:00.
