Science in action! 🧪🌿
Wild Basin serves as an innovative field station where students can step out of the classroom and into the environment they are studying. This hands-on approach to education allows for deep exploration into biodiversity, ecology, and land management. 🌎💡
With the support of dedicated faculty and staff, students are gaining hands-on experience that prepares them for the future of conservation science. Swipe to learn what makes our research center so special as we’re fostering the next generation of researchers! 🧬🌲

What makes Wild Basin special? It’s all in the name. 📝
We’re continuing our “Things You Should Know” series by sharing an most important distinction: Wild Basin is a preserve, not a park. 🌟🌲🌿
While a park is primarily designed for recreation and leisure, a preserve like Wild Basin is dedicated to protecting vital natural resources and ecosystems. We protect native Texas Hill Country habitats that support wildlife and plant species. 🦎✨
Thank you for following along, helping us protect this irreplaceable wilderness, and sustaining this mission for 50 years and counting! See you on the trails! 🥾💚
