Another special Dedication Day at Austin High, celebrating the school's history and culture, and honoring the 50,000 graduates of the school, which opened in 1881. Congratulations to the Hall of Honor Committee on a special ceremony and congratulations to the 2026 inductees--Rox, Duke and Danay Covert; Janet Scott and faculty inductee Rich Weigand. And thanks to the students and alumni who attended as well as the Austin High Jazz band, the orchestra, choir and culinary department. This special day has been celebrated at Austin High since 1977.
