UTPress Journals, the home of Information & Culture, has taken steps into open-access publishing by participating in Project Muse’s Subscribe to Open program. Subscribe to Open (S2O) is an equitable open-access model that enables scholarly subscription journals to provide free use of their current content without charging Article Processing Charges (APCs). The Project MUSE S2O program is built around a current journal collections model and has been successfully launched with 102 participating journals.
For I&C, this means with the publication of Vol 60 this Fall, the next three issues will remain permanently open with the promise that future volumes will be added as the S2O program evolves. Further, all authors will be able to share top copies of their published work freely on their websites or repositories by simply adding a Creative Commons acknowledgement provided by the Press. As always, for more information about the journal, including submission requirements and the reviewing process, please visit https://infoculturejournal.org/
