Follow these steps:
- ๐—š๐—ฒ๐˜ ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐—น๐—ฒ. You want to be comfortable enough to sit without having to rearrange and fidget, but not too comfortable! You do not want to fall asleep.
- ๐—˜๐—น๐—ถ๐—บ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ฒ ๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜† ๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐˜€๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜€. Put your phone on silent/do not disturb or even put it in the other room! Set a timer on your microwave, stove, watch or another device instead.
- ๐—™๐—ผ๐—ฐ๐˜‚๐˜€ ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ ๐—ด๐—ฎ๐˜‡๐—ฒ. You can close your eyes, which might help you turn inward. Or you can gaze at a spot in front of you or candle.
- ๐—ก๐—ผ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ ๐—ฏ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ต. Belly breathing can help you find calm.
- ๐—ก๐—ผ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ด๐—ต๐˜๐˜€, ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ป ๐—ท๐˜‚๐˜€๐˜ ๐˜€๐—ถ๐˜! Is your mind racing? Are you reliving past anxieties or anticipating the future? Notice all that comes up. See if you can let your thoughts just be and come back to your breath whenever your mind becomes busy.

Continue this practice until your timer goes off. When five minutes becomes more tangible, consider meditating a bit longer. However, just five minutes each day is incredibly powerful.

ITโ€™S NORMAL TO LOSE MOTIVATION

I always get asked: How do you stay so motivated?
But the truth is, I am not ALWAYS โ€œso motivatedโ€...

And you might not always stay motivated either.

Not the answer you were looking for? Tough pill to swallow?

Consider this:
Think of a time you were motivated to reach a goal. Did you ALWAYS feel motivated to hit your workouts, smash your nutrition, and live your best life? Or were there still good days and bad days? Ups & downs?

I highly doubt you felt motivated every moment of every day. AND THAT IS TOTALLY NORMAL!

As an emotional authority (any other Human Design nerds out there?) I am always riding the emotional waves!

I am most โ€œmotivatedโ€ during times of clarity. Not during super high highs or super low lows, but that sweet spot right in the middle. **This is always when I make the best decisions, as well!**

But guess what? Some of those days, I decided to take off. But there were also days where I just DID IT ANYWAYS! And I am sure youโ€™ve had days just like this as well!

Motivation may not always be there.

Thatโ€™s where STANDARDS, DISCIPLINE and SUPPORT come in.

Just because your circumstances have changed, doesnโ€™t mean you should value yourself less. And it doesnโ€™t mean you should give yourself excuses to forget about your health.

So, what did you do to be disciplined during those times you were unbelievably motivated?

Did you schedule your workouts? Meal prep on Sundays? Check in with your coach?

Keep at it! Follow through on your protocols, lean on your coach and online fitness community for support, and soon enough, โ€œhealthyโ€ becomes a routine.

Struggling to find a routine? Struggling to find out realistic standards to set? Struggling to stay committed?

I often get asked how some people accomplish so much more in their personal and professional lives than others?

If we all have the same 24 hours in the same seven days per week, with the same access to education, information, and resources how can some achieve massive goals while others do not?

Itโ€™s all in the way we define success.

I want yโ€™all to answer two questions for me:
1. How shall we live in order to be happy?
2. What is success to you? How would you define success if you could wave a magic wand and make your life absolutely perfect in every way? What would your life look like?

Itโ€™s not that you donโ€™t know what to do to get what you want. Instead, itโ€™s that you donโ€™t have the discipline to make yourself do what you know you should do, whether you feel like it or not.

The other thing keeping you from success is that you may not know WHY you want what you say you want.

Itโ€™s time to take some responsibility! Everything that you are currently dealing with is 100% your fault. The good & the beautiful, but also the bad & the ugly!

But you can change it all right now, too.

I want you to do one thing today! I want you to journal and determine three things:
1. What exactly is it that you want in life?
2. What is the price that you will have to pay to get those things? (Tip: think ๐Ÿ’ฐ, โฐ, habits & energy!)
3. Are you WILLING to pay the price? (Bonus: If yes, write a letter to your future self committing to the above and letting her know WHY youโ€™re doing this.)

Pro-tip: Be sure to include all areas of your life -- career, family, finances, health, etc. โค๏ธ

You are the creator of your life and your reality. Itโ€™s time to get creating. โค๏ธ

2. ๐—ก๐—˜๐—ฉ๐—˜๐—ฅ compare what makes you feel happy and healthy to someone else's lifestyle. โฃ
3. ๐—ฆ๐—ง๐—”๐—ฅ๐—ง ๐—ฆ๐— ๐—”๐—Ÿ๐—Ÿ and work your way up. No need to cut anything cold turkey or do a complete 180 overnight. Slowly start working on breaking bad habits and replacing them with healthy / good habits.โฃ
4. ๐—œ๐——๐—˜๐—ก๐—ง๐—œ๐—™๐—ฌ & ๐—”๐—ฉ๐—ข๐—œ๐—— triggers. Each person's triggers are different. You want to learn to identify a trigger situation when it occurs and take steps at that very moment to remove yourself away from this trigger / risk.โฃ

There is massive power in words. Words not only have the ability to wound but to heal. Positive words have the power to change and recreate your world. By repeating affirmations over and over again they will begin to take over your thoughts and slowly, overtime you pattern of thinking will begin to change.

Now this is no overnight phenomenon, in the beginning your mind will not believe them but as you continue to repeat them daily, they will become part of your subconscious and your mind will begin to believe what you are saying.

In regards to fitness, nothing bothers me more than people who are just trying to learn as much as possible are misled by false information. These โ€œmythsโ€ end up hurting many people and typically sabotage results and end up sending people miles away from their actual goal.โฃโฃ
