The Turning was one of the last events I hosted before leaving London, and it feels meaningful to look back on that evening now and share some moments from it.
Rooted in the Sufi tradition, this practice has been one that has deeply connected me to something beyond myself, closer to my heart, and closer to that which is much larger than me.
What moved me most was witnessing how people entered the practice. Some with curiosity, some with hesitation, and some with quiet devotion. Gradually the room filled with spirals, each person finding their own relationship to balance, surrender, and presence. For me, the meaning of the practice lives exactly there: learning how to remain aware while everything is moving.
Turning teaches something essential. Life is always shifting, accelerating, destabilising. The invitation is not to stop the motion, but to discover the axis that allows us to remain present within it.
Looking back, it feels like a beautiful closing gesture before leaving London. A practice about finding centre within movement, shared with a room full of people willing to step into the unknown together.
Thank you to for guiding the turning, and to .music and company for the live percussion, and to everyone who entered the circle and turned with us.
There is something ancient in this practice.
And something very alive.

Sacred Mirrors: Meeting the Void
February 22nd | 1:30 PM – 8:00 PM | Dalston, London
in collaboration relationship with .uk
I am beyond grateful and humbled to do this work. I am in awe of the possibilities that unfold when humans come together to feel what is often unspoken, unseen, and unexpressed.
I hold deep love for the process of unburdening, releasing, and grieving. This work is not easy—it is initiatory. It asks us to cross thresholds into parts of ourselves that feel unsafe, yet are yearning to be known.
Grief is not only about sitting in discomfort or the pain of what is or what was. It is also about stepping into gratitude for what is to come. It is about stepping into gratitude for the breath of life flowing through us each day. It is about deep remembrance of the beauty of this human experiment—celebrating the life that runs through us: the vitality, the wildness, the rawness and the sentimentality of this experience.
In this ceremony, we will feel into the harm that has been done—between brothers and sisters, between brothers and brothers, between sisters and sisters. The wounds of betrayal, rejection, and dehumanization are not easy to reveal, yet they thirst for acknowledgment and care.
We will dive into what feels stuck, painful, and uneasy to look at—but we will also step into the gold we may not be appreciating or remembering in our cognitive dissonance or cultural burdening.
This will be my last grief ceremony in London for some time, as I step back into the world for spring and summer. If you feel called to be held in deep space during a crossing of your own, you do not need to do it alone.
This will be a space of co-creation, co-remembering, and celebration.
