Driven by the belief that teachers and students thrive with great leadership, The Holdsworth Center builds stronger leaders for Texas public schools. The best leaders aren't the loudest in the room. They're the calmest.

On Thursday, September 17, The Holdsworth Center — in partnership with the Texas Book Festival — welcomes legendary investor David Booth, founder of Dimensional Fund Advisors, to our Campus on Lake Austin for a candid conversation on leadership, staying steady under pressure, and building something that endures.

The conversation will be moderated by Robert S. Kaplan, Holdsworth board member and former president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.

While our work centers on developing great school leaders, the lessons David shares speak to anyone who leads: founders, executives, investors, and community builders across Austin.

🗓️ Thursday, September 17 · 5–7 PM · Campus on Lake Austin
📖 Every ticket includes a copy of Booth's book, "Stay Calm"

🎉 Congratulations to Holdsworth alum Dr. Angela Dominguez, named lone finalist for Superintendent of Edinburg CISD!

As Donna ISD's first female superintendent in 100 years, she led her district to 100% student growth, boosted kindergarten literacy from 18% to 85%, and earned 2025 Region One Superintendent of the Year. A first-gen college grad and proud Dartmouth alum, Dr. Dominguez keeps raising the bar for RGV students. So proud to celebrate this next chapter! 👏

"Trust the process." 🌟

That's Cyndi Ortiz's advice—CLP grad and principal at Etheredge Elementary—for anyone hesitant about Holdsworth.

Her first reaction? "There's no way I'm putting two years into this." But after just one session, everything changed.
