UT Tailgate Recycling Program

UT Tailgate Recycling Program The Tailgate Recycling Crew attends every home game and need volunteers!

The Office of Sustainability, Facility Services, Athletics, and the Campus Environmental Center are partnering together for the Tailgate Recycling Program to help football fans discard of their recyclables properly. Volunteers are needed to help distribute recycling bags and educate fans about the importance of recycling in the tailgate lots and at the stadium. You can receive a range of 2-6 volun

teer hours by participating in the Tailgate Recycling Program. This is a great opportunity to recieve service hours and earns money for your organization! Volunteers are needed for the following football games:

Tailgate Recycling Program won the Keep Austin Beautiful Award!!!!
Thank you to everyone who helped make this season a successful one!!

The UT Campus Environmental Center won the Recycling and Waste Reduction award from non-profit Keep Austin Beautiful for their tailgate recycling program. It’s the center’s first Keep Austin Beautiful award for any of their initiatives. Austin Community College was a finalist.

A little late but THANK YOU to everyone who volunteered Saturday! We had 53 volunteers which is Incredible!!

Special Thanks to Gamma Beta Phi, Lending Hearts, American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) - UT Austin Student Chapter, Texas Public Health, and Club for Environmental Outreach for helping us out! We really appreciate all your help!
