The Lady Cans are getting ready to host our 2026 Girl Scout Robotics Summer Camps in June! Girl Scouts in grades 2-5 can register for a week-long day camp where they will build and program LEGO SPIKE robots. Additional details can be found at the link below. The Lady Cans’ final trick of the season: transforming our build shop back into a flexible off-season meeting space. (Yes, everything has to fit into one closet!) Thank you to our amazing mentors and fellow teammates who helped pack up our shop this year. We are also very grateful to the Girl Scouts of Central Texas for providing a space where The Lady Cans can build, create, learn, and grow!

2026 FIRST World Championship is a wrap! The Lady Cans competed on the Archimedes field, finishing 17th after qualifications. While we didn’t advance to playoffs, we stayed to cheer on the incredible teams still competing.

The Lady Cans were honored to receive the Innovation in Control Award on the Archimedes field, recognizing our team’s use of advanced control systems and software to enhance robot performance. Our Software team did incredible work this season and we are thrilled to see their efforts recognized on a world stage.

Beyond the FRC robot game, Worlds also included conference sessions, the Innovation Fair, and the FTC and FLL championships happening alongside ours. The Lady Cans worked with fellow m.e.FIRST ambassadors, along with initiative founders, Space Cookies 1868, to make sure feminine products were available throughout the event.

We also attended RoboProm, a special opportunity for juniors and seniors who may have missed prom due to robotics competitions. Thank you Eagle Robotics 399, for making RoboProm such a great experience!

Thank you as well to all event volunteers, team mentors, parents, and sponsors for your time, support, and dedication throughout the season and at Worlds. We couldn’t do this without you. You make everything we do possible!

The Lady Cans are headed to Worlds! Deepest gratitude to the De Luca Family Foundation, Girl Scouts of Central Texas, NI, and friends of The Lady Cans for funding our team’s registration for Worlds. We would also like to thank Cirrus Logic for their generous donation of feminine products in support of m.e.FIRST at Worlds.

In the short time between States and Worlds, our team has worked hard to get our robot ready while fitting in plenty of drive practice. It is an exciting close to a great season. Thank you to all of our 2025–26 sponsors for making what we do throughout the season possible.

The Lady Cans participated in the FiT 2026 District Championship this weekend in Houston! We competed on the Mercury Field with our robot, Rosetta Stone, and are thrilled to share that The Lady Cans are advancing to Worlds!

Special thank you to all of the volunteers that made FiT 2026 District Championship possible. We are so very grateful for everything that you do.🩷

Our drive team placed 5th after qualifications, and The Lady Cans served as the captain of Alliance 4, along with alliance partners, Fusion Corp 6672, Singularity 10032, and Eagle Robotics 5417. Congratulations to winning Alliance 1, Valor 6800, Robonauts 118, Bionic Panthers 8088, and Discobots 2587.

The drive team gave it their all on the field, and our Pit Crew did an amazing job interviewing for Engineering Inspiration at States. Meanwhile, The Lady Cans illustrious Presentation Team showcased our outreach work for the Impact Award judges. Our Director of Safety even won the Safety Award! So much to celebrate!

Finally, as m.e.FIRST Ambassador and FiT m.e.FIRST District Coordinator, The Lady Cans coordinated fellow Ambassadors to provide period products at States. We appreciate our 2026 FiT m.e.FIRST Ambassadors and their dedication to this important initiative.

Just a few days left until the FiT 2026 District Championship! The Lady Cans have been using drive practice sessions the last few weeks to test auto routes, run practice matches, and troubleshoot with our robot. HUGE thank you to Valor 6800 and Appreciate 2468 for letting our team use your practice fields for drive practice!

The Lady Cans have also been preparing for both Impact Presentation and Engineering Inspiration. On Friday, our Presentation Team enjoyed collaborating with our FLLE team, the Banana Cookies, as they prepared for Saturday’s FIRST LEGO League Explore Festival at NI/Emerson. The two teams traded off being “judges” as each practiced their presentations. At the festival, the Banana Cookies won the Unity Builder Team Award, an award recognizing strong teamwork and collaboration. We’re so proud of the Banana Cookies and all the hard work they have done this year!

Our countdown to the FiT 2026 State Championship has begun! With just two weeks to go, The Lady Cans have been hard at work preparing for State. Following our District events, CAD and Build subteams have been busy exploring robot upgrades. Our Software subteam has developed code that allows the launcher to operate while the robot is moving, and our Impact/Awards subteam has been helping prepare for our State presentations in both Impact and Engineering Inspiration. We wish all teams the best as they get ready for State and look forward to a great competition!🩷

The Lady Cans had our second district event of the season this weekend in Waco! A huge thank you to all of the amazing volunteers who make these events possible. We had such a good time!

Our drive team and robot did a fantastic job, ranking 3rd after qualifications and finishing 2nd overall! The Lady Cans were captain of Alliance 2, along with alliance partners, REBELLION 10014 and SSES Phenoms 10994. Congratulations to winning Alliance 1: Mercenary Robotics 6369, Rangers 2848, and Panther Prime 11200.

The Lady Cans were also incredibly honored to win the FIRST Engineering Inspiration Award at Waco! The Engineering Inspiration Award celebrates teams that foster engineering within their group while inspiring their broader community to explore STEM. This was a meaningful acknowledgment of The Lady Cans’ dedication to both strengthening engineering expertise within our team and igniting curiosity about STEM in younger Girl Scouts.

Finally, as m.e.FIRST Ambassador and the FiT m.e.FIRST District Coordinator, The Lady Cans helped provide period products at our event in Waco this weekend and coordinated with other m.e.FIRST Ambassadors to cover all Week 3 district events. We appreciate our 2026 FiT m.e.FIRST Ambassadors for their dedication this season. Thank you for being part of this important initiative!
