This Pride Month, we remember a beautiful service organized in the fall by members of the Q***r Alliance student group in honor of National Coming Out Day, and the timely, oft-needed reminder it gives us, especially in this month: ALL are loved by and beloved to God.
This month and always, we are grateful for the invaluable contributions and sacred gifts and ministries of our LGBTQIA+ students and community members - past, present and future - in helping make the world a better place and especially for making Austin Seminary a space where all can be and are welcomed and loved, without exception.

At Austin Seminary we welcome everyone who is called to serve with purpose and meaning. Grounded in the Presbyterian-Reformed tradition, we foster curiosity and collaboration in students of all backgrounds and identities, guiding them to explore their faith more deeply, engage in issues that matter, challenge norms, and lead their communities with compassion and understanding into the future.

Last week’s bittersweet goodbyes and farewells were not just for our graduating students, but also for the dynamic worship duo of Beth Judd (Interim Dean of the Chapel) and Dr. Jill Nennmann (Interim Organist)!
Both of these amazing humans answered the call to steward the chapel and worship life at Austin Seminary, and faithfully served as nothing less than anchors for both this past academic year, ensuring that the heart and soul of this campus continued to thrive seamlessly as the Seminary conducted (and completed) its search for new Professor of Sacred Music and Dean of the Chapel, Dr. Stephanie A. Budwey!
We’re deeply grateful for everything Beth and Jill have done for and accomplished with the Seminary community, especially our students, over the past year, and have been blessed by their gifts and presence beyond measure! Thank you both for everything, and blessings on the journey ahead!

While we’re in a season of celebration and recognition, we can’t not recognize the inimitable and world-class maintenance team of Austin Seminary!
Day in and day out these amazing folks go above and beyond for the Seminary campus and community, as well as for all guests who come to visit or who may just be passing by.
We’re beyond grateful for all our maintenance team has done and continues to do for this campus and community, this academic year and beyond!
Thanks for keeping the lights on, y’all! (Literally!)

Wildlife Appreciation Wednesday should be a thing, especially here at Austin Seminary!
Even though our campus is right in the heart of Austin just north of the city’s bustling downtown, any given day you’ll be sure to find wildlife of all sorts, especially by Waller Creek: dozens of species of birds, gray foxes, snapping turtles, fish, and so many others!
Just today we welcomed a pair of black-bellied whistling ducks and their 20 (or more) ducklings! They certainly caused quite the stir, as their presence brought out not only students and staff, but also our resident barred owl, red-shouldered hawk, and even one of the snapping turtles!
Will our new webbed feet friends come to call Austin Seminary their home like so many others? Stay tuned to find out!
