👋 Meet Our Campus Security Team!

We are thrilled to introduce Officer Cody and Officer Jaime from Watchmen Protective Services. Together, they work tirelessly to enhance our campus safety by conducting regular grounds checks, monitoring access points, and supporting our school's daily security needs. They also love welcoming our families to campus every day (and handing out the occasional sticker).

Mr. Cody is a US Marines veteran and former patrol officer from Shreveport, Cody has a variety of experience in crime prevention, law enforcement, community engagement, and emergency response. Mr Cody says, “I really love getting to know all of the kids and their families and building those relationships.”

Mr. Jaime is a U.S. Army and Texas National Guard Veteran and a former Austin police officer, Jaimie is highly experienced. He is an ALERRT instructor and a licensed Master Peace Officer. Before joining Rise, he served in the Pflugerville ISD Police. When he’s not at Rise Mr. Jaime enjoys trips to the Frio River or the coast, and spending time with his daughter

👋Meet Our Classroom & Campus Volunteer

Hayden Street, a former student at The Rise School of Austin, has been an incredible volunteer since last year, lending a helping hand in the classrooms and throughout the school.

“I attended The Rise School when I was a little girl and loved my teachers and friends,” Hayden shares. “My favorite thing about volunteering here is organizing supplies and decorating the halls for holidays! I also love giving the students high-fives and hugs, and seeing my friends Mr. Jack, Ms. Doris, Ms. Reagan, and Ms. Jillian.”

We are so grateful for Hayden’s kind heart, positive spirit, and continued connection to the Rise community. We love having her back at Rise! ❤

👋Meet our Classroom Aide, Mr. Jack!
We are so lucky to have Jack Sheperd on our team! As a dedicated classroom aide, Jack supports our school in many ways, including working hand-in-hand with our physical, music, and occupational therapists to ensure our students thrive.

Jack’s journey with Rise began in 2017. After a brief period away to focus on his studies, he returned to us as a graduate of George Mason University’s LIFE Program, where he earned a Certificate of Program Completion with concentrations in Child Education and Psychology.

"I really love dancing and making music with the kids," Jack says. "I also love watching the kids make long-lasting friendships as they grow up together. Inclusion is very important and really expands their horizons."

When he’s not supporting our students, Jack can be found pushing his limits with American Ninja Warrior training! We love having Mr. Jack’s energy and heart at Rise.❤

👋 Meet our Rise Enrichment Program Team!

The REP team is dedicated to creating an enriching afternoon filled with discovery for our many students who stay for after-school care. By balancing active play with quiet exploration, our enrichment teachers lead engaging activities that spark joy for every child.

Our unique team serves in a dual role: they support our classrooms as Floating Teacher Assistants by day, and lead the REP magic once the official class day is over. We are incredibly proud of our Enrichment Teachers for providing our working parents with peace of mind and our students with a place to truly thrive.

This Teacher Appreciation Week, we are giving thanks to our incredible Rise Staff. Our teachers and therapists bring incredible expertise and passion to their roles and truly go above and beyond to ensure that every child at Rise can shine today AND make a lifelong difference in the lives of the families we serve.
