A summer camp experience built around movement, confidence, and connection.
Kids spend their days staying active, learning new skills, making friends, and being surrounded by positive coaches and teammates who help them feel supported every step of the way.
By the end of the week, they leave more confident, more independent, and excited to come back again.

Pursuit of a world title, but rooted in something bigger: Process Over Outcome.
The early mornings. The hard rounds. The discipline when no one is watching.
Weโre proud of the result theyโre pursuing but even more proud of the process that brought them here.

It takes a village.
Behind every athlete chasing a dream is a room full of people choosing to rise together. The training partners who show up when the rounds are hard. The teammates who give their energy, time, and best effort so someone else can be ready for the biggest stage.
That is what makes this place special.
This week, Professor Leonardo Souza, Windson Torres, Felipe Costa, Coach Daniel Cotter, and Camden Hinton head to the IBJJF World Championships.
We are proud of each of you.
And to every teammate who helped them get there, thank you.
Whether you are competing, helping someone prepare, cheering from the side, or simply showing up for your own growth, you are part of the same story.
This is what team looks like.

Most people try to fix the week before with more.
More sessions. More volume. More intensity.
But the body has already been built.
The mind needs something else now.
Stillness. Trust. Freedom.
This week on Sensei's Corner.

Walking through the door takes courage.
Walking back through it the next day takes character.
Change isn't a single decision.
It's the same decision, made again and again.

Hard moments are part of the practice.
She does not avoid them.
She learns to stay.
To breathe.
To work through it.
That is where confidence is built.
Not from ease, but from experience.
With the right environment, everything changes.
Pressure becomes familiar.
Challenge becomes something she can handle.
And that confidence does not stay on the mat.
She carries it into everything.

I was ten years old. Manaus, Brazil.
I loved being with my friends.
Putting on the gi.
Coming back the next day.
Then I won my first state title.
And Xandinho disappeared.
There was only "the champion."
Even at ten, something did not feel right.
Happy training.
