You might feel pressure to pick a political side, and luckily Kozmetsky has your back.

Not by telling you who to vote for, although we definitely want you to vote, but by helping you see the human beings behind the labels.

Building relationships across the aisle can be hard, but it doesn't have to be.

Joe needs to practice his disc golf, and luckily Kozmetsky has his back.

Not with his disc golf skills, although I'd love to play a game with him, but with his networking skills.

Networking can be hard, but it doesn't have to be.

If you want to meet other smart, motivated students and community members, follow us to make sure you never miss an event!

St. Edward's University and the Kozmetsky Center are able to do things that other schools can’t, and here’s why

1. We can adapt faster

We’re already adapting to an AI future by supporting student research and projects using AI tools. By being the first to give our students access to these resources, we’re providing them with significant advantages in the job market.

2. We have a better mascot

There are some really good mascots out there, but Topper the Goat clears them all by far. We think so, anyways.

We weren’t supposed to reveal this…

But here’s a sneak peek of what the Kozmetsky Center has in store for next semester!

If you LOVE vinyl records, we’re going to have an event for you to play your favorite tunes, meet new people, and explore what freedom of speech means to YOU.

Comment below if we’ll be seeing you there!

We need to change how we think about pressure.

Our drive to perform and compete, the fear of getting left behind, these emotions can dominate our days.

The next time you feel the weight of the world on your shoulders, ask yourself: How much of this am I doing to myself?

“Parking is $20. The bus is late. And I-35 is a parking lot.”

While City Hall debates infrastructure, Laz Calvillo saw the real problem: bus routes don’t match where people actually need to go.

His solution? Community-First AI. Interview residents in overlooked neighborhoods about their real commutes.

Feed that data into an AI model, and build routes that serve people, not pavement.

Texas has the universities, population, and economy to lead on transit. It just needs the political will.

Stop asking “Why is traffic so bad?” Start asking “Who is this system built for?“

As 2025 comes to a close, we’re reflecting on what made our year truly special.

The answer is simple: YOU.

Thank you to everyone who participated in and supported our events this year.

Your energy, engagement, and enthusiasm made every moment worthwhile.

We can’t wait to see you in 2026.

“We have to build spaces at Universities for students to experiment with their interests.”

Lyndon Johnson went to the school that would become Texas State, but his most important lessons came from beyond the classroom.

The Kozmetsky Center aims to be precisely that space, where students can safely try, fail, and improve.

“I park in the garage. I had no idea.”

Ivan, a resident student at St. Edward’s, realized he had been living in a bubble.

While he walked to class, commuter students were spending up to 45 minutes circling parking lots, often late, stressed, or missing class.

The issue was not traffic. It was information.
Our student team simplified the campus parking map, reorganizing permits and color coding around how students actually experience campus.

The lesson was clear. You cannot solve a problem you do not feel. Sometimes the most powerful infrastructure change is simply making the invisible visible.
