We are so proud of our amazing undergraduate research assistants who presented research from our lab at the undergraduate research forum!! 📊🧠

Leah, Liliana, and Caroline each presented preliminary results from our word learning study. Emily and Vanessa presented about our pilot study with babies, including the difficulty in collecting data with our very young participants.

Thank you all for sharing all the hard work you put into child development research this academic year!

Have you ever wondered how children learn? Please help us find out! We are a group of
researchers at the University of Texas at Austin who are interested in how babies and young children learn their language. We invite you to come and participate in one of our
developmental studies with your little one. Each study involves a one-time 1-hour visit to UT. Not only will it be a fun, novel experience for your child, but you will also have the opportunity to learn a little bit more about what’s going on in those amazing early months and years!

Our lab is looking for participants to participate in our Word Learning Study! We want to learn how young children learn words! During this one-visit study we will play some games with your child and play videos while they wear a completely safe fNIRS cap that measures brain activity.
