Y’all, I’m on the late post train but how cool is it to meet one of the chefs that I’ve looked up to? was so welcoming. The Longanisa Sliders and the Adobo fried rice were 🔥.

To have a role model from far away back in his Seattle season when I was a line cook coming up when Filipinos weren’t featured as much in the culinary scene was so rad.

I’m super stoked to make the tuna patties!

⭐️ A client review from a previous event that Chef Rene and team helped cover! This was an amazing day as everyone looked happy, and the conversation was seamless to the point where the team finished, and the table and myself were still conversation.

We definitely gave them something to tacobout. 🌮

has been under my wing since December by the way of .

Jessica has been a great addition to the Mabuhay team - her determination to run her food truck and learn the personal chef side of the business in terms of both events and meal prep has been a sight to see.

She did her first full menu today with . I shook the client’s hand and left around 7:30, and had dinner.

That was my night, and that’s what good mentorship is. To be able to empower people, and to turn around knowing that I can eat dinner with my person knowing that the event is in great hands.

Thank you for the referral.

I love honey walnut anything.

This one is more Texas inspired by doing a Honey Pecan Pappardelle. Made a cauliflower puree with honey, folded in tomatoes and pecans.

The pastabilities are endless.

Chef Rene, aka Flam-bae, bringing the heat.

We celebrated a 60th birthday today in the most explosive of styles. Talk about a dinner, and a show.

Thankful for and for crushing it and creating a memory that will last for a long time.

Let’s talk about “dump dinners”.

Apparently that’s a thing now? Some examples of it are crawfish boils, boodle fights/kamayans or Alinea’s table dessert.

These kamayans invite community and a unique way to present food.

In this case, it was our client’s final fiesta, aka her bachelorette party.

In our call, she said she loved Korean food and lived in Hawaii for a minute. So it became a chance to show off.

Pork Lumpia, Banana Ketchup
Carne Asada Satay with Peanut Sauce
Kendall’s Adobo
Beef Bulgogi
Kimchi Fried Rice
Gochujang Carrots and Broccolini
Chocolate Mousse, Cinnamon and Strawberries.

A shoutout to / for crushing this event!

For some reason, Friday nights are popular booking days for bachelor and bachelorette parties. Whether it is your first day in town, in the middle of it, or your last day here, the food is meant as a communal piece.

I always suggest a communal and shared experience when planning these events. Bachelorette and Bachelor party hosts tell me that they’re always coming back from a trip@at the lake or getting ready for the night ahead.

We give them something filling, light, and varied. From options such as Italian, Filipino, Tex-Mex, sushi, and steak nights, we have something for everyone!
