For some context as to why this is particularly devastating: Raymond and Eve are already disabled prior to this incident. Between the fees of moving trucks and storage options, they’ve already been financially hit hard this week. Raymond has sustained a broken back and wrist. The back will need a brace and a long journey of PT and rest. His wrist on the other hand will need surgery which impacts his ability to work on top of having an extended recovery time.
They are staple members of the Austin circus scene, and we’d love to make their road to recovery as smooth as possible!

Hi this is Porcelain with Bat City Circus. I’m sure most of you know by now that Bat City is facing an eviction from our beloved space. In the process of clearing out the studio, one of our owners Raymond fell off a later and broke his back and wrist. This is especially devastating due to the timing. We have shared a gofundme in the bio and to our story.
While I know our eviction is devastating news to many (including me) we aren’t done fighting! We will be looking for a new space, and the lovely studio Lache has agreed to host a few of our classes for the time being. Currently all classes are cancelled until we can work around Lache’s busy and exciting schedule. In the meantime you’re welcome to book privates or semi privates with our instructors (besides Eve.) I (Porcelain) will be offering discounted private lessons and semi private lessons for returning students while we figure things out.
On that note, our owners are VERY tired. They need rest, recovery, and to eat real meals for the first time in weeks at this point. I will be managing everything for the time being alongside the help of Lache and our instructor Maya .
I ask that under no circumstances anyone contacts Eve. Reach out either to Maya or I and we can either deal with it or we can get the information to Eve in a way that will not damage her mental health (I know a lot of people are messaging asking her if she’s okay, but she’s VERY overwhelmed right now.)
