Drained, tired, and empty. 😴🥱🚶🏼♀️
That’s how I’ve felt for the past 2-3 weeks.
Looking back, the past few weeks have been incredibly hard for me: I’ve gone through a lots of downs on all fronts of my life, plus, I felt drained by everything that’s going on in the world right now (even though I stopped watching the news).
Maybe you can relate.
Since my cancer check up is coming up, I thought to myself:
“What if today were my last day?” 😳
And that’s when I realized why I’ve been feeling so weak:
Because I started fulfilling OTHER peoples’ needs instead of putting myself first. 🤯
And that’s when your energy gets drained and you’re no longer your true self.
So I made the decision to ACTIVELY choose my mindset.💪🏻
And the best way to do this is by….
🥁
Practicing gratitude! 🙏🏻
I kid you not! This morning I ran around my house and started talking to my appliances (yes, I’m a bit weird, but in a good way ;)):
How crazy is it that we can just get up and and food in our refrigerator that came form all over the world? 🥬🥝🥛
And as I was taking out my kale to make a green smoothie, I was thanking the people who harvested it 🥬, and the truck drivers who transported it 🚛 and the person in the grocery store picking it up🛒. I thanked them all!
So here’s a great exercise:
🚨Everything you touch today, just thank that item that it’s in your life: your clothes, your shampoo, your hot water, your kale, your heat or A/C (!), your dog, your loved ones, your books, your computer, the sun to rise 🌅 (EVERY freaking day!! Think about that!)
Trust me you will feel so much happier if you do this for 10 minutes a day!!
Be in a constant state of gratitude!
