I am really happy to announce that I won 1st place in SSP (Stock Service Pistol) Division in my Class at the Arizona State IDPA Championship Level 4 Match this weekend. It was also my first major match to work as an SO (Safety Officer) on one of the stages.

I just competed in the TRUGLO Texas State IDPA Championships for Pistol this last weekend. It was my first major competition after 7 months of starting out at local competitions in the Central Texas area.

I placed 8th in my division - SSP | MM. There were 12 stages and I shot 3 of them well, about 6 mediocre, and 3 dumpster fires (stage one - all headshots, 15 yards, and the standard - strong hand, weak hand). The three disaster stages definitely brought my placing down considerably, but I learned a lot.

Learn The Rules Fully To Avoid Penalties

Make sure all of your equipment fits the guidelines (local matches can be very lax in this department. Major competitions run very differently)

Never let your life circumstances enter your mental game during the competition. It can completely stop your game.

Take the wins, take the losses, and learn.

Today is a new day to get it right and be better.
