Our last camp of 2026, STEM in Medical Technology on Thursday, July 16, brought this summer to a close. Campers enjoyed a hands-on design challenge, a tour of the UT Austin Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience Lab space, and a medical imaging presentation by UT Austin Professor Dr. Thomas Yankeelov. Day 2 of STEM in Sustainable Communities & Energy camp on Wednesday, July 15 included highlights such as presentations by guest speakers from UT Austin Green Labs, College of Natural Sciences, and Cockrell School of Engineering and the hands-on design challenge, Lifting Wind💨🍃

Day 1 of STEM in Sustainable Communities & Energy camp on Tuesday, July 14 included highlights such as a fieldwork activity with participants of the UT Austin Summer High School Research Academy (HSRA) and an underground carbon storage workshop hosted by the Energy Science and Technology Institute of the UT Austin Hildebrand Department of Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering 🔬🌿🪨

At STEM in Medical Technology camp on Thursday, July 9, campers learned about cancer imaging from UT Austin Professor Dr. Thomas Yankeelov, about MRI imaging and research from the UT Austin Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience Lab group, and about the engineering design process from the medical supply drop design challenge! 🔬🩻🩺

On Day 2 of STEM in Robotics camp on Wednesday, July 8, campers participated in hands-on activities - Tilt Boxes and Kicking Machine - and visited Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) Visualization Lab 🤖

On Day 1 of STEM in Robotics camp on Tuesday, July 7, campers visited Texas Inventionworks in EER and Texas Robotics labs in Anna Hiss Gymnasium, spaces on campus where UT Austin students are creating and innovating 🤖

STEM in Entrepreneurship camp on Thursday, June 25 gave campers amazing opportunities to practice design thinking through hands-on activities and to learn about spaces on UT Austin's campus that promote innovation, such as Texas Inventionworks and Impact Lab!💡📝👡

STEM in Things We Consume camp on Wednesday, June 24 – our brand-new camp of 2026 – was a great success with hands-on activities, presentations, and a panel by STEM professionals working in water industries!

Campers at our STEM in Art & Sound camp on Tuesday, June 23 experienced tours of the Blanton Museum of Art and a selection of pieces from the Landmarks collection and a presentation hosted by the UT Austin chapter of the Acoustical Society of America! 🎨🎸🔊
