I wish this existed when I was in high school.
My 10th-grade biology teacher handed back my first test with a big red 62% on it, and I remember thinking: "I studied for HOURS. What am I doing wrong?"
I wasn't studying wrong. I was studying BORING.
Textbooks told me mitochondria were the powerhouse of the cell. Flashcards made me repeat "Golgi apparatus packages proteins" a hundred times. And none of it stuck, because my brain wasn't built to memorize lists — it was built to remember stories, songs, and patterns.
So years later, I started turning every biology topic into a song.
This one teaches you all 7 major parts of an animal cell in under 2 minutes, using a mnemonic you'll literally never forget:
"My New Red Goldfish Likes Plain Cake"
M — Mitochondria (the powerhouse)
N — Nucleus (the control center)
R — Ribosomes (build proteins)
G — Golgi apparatus (ships proteins)
L — Lysosomes (cleanup crew)
P — Plasma membrane (border guard)
C — Cytoplasm (the filling)
