Aurora University Cross Country and Track and Field

Congratulations to our 46 student-athletes who have been recognized as NACC Scholar-Athletes for 2022-23 academic year!

Both the Men's and Women's programs have been named All-Academic Teams by the USTFCCCA for the 2023 seasons! The Men held an average GPA of 3.24, and the Women earned an average of 3.44!

Skylar Gibbs has been named an All-Academic Athlete by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2023 Track and Field seasons! The criteria to be named an All-Academic Athlete is; a grade point average of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale, and must have finished the indoor or outdoor season among the top 50 individuals as listed on the descending order lists on TFRRS. Skylar is majoring in Exercise Science (Pre-Physical Therapy), and finished this year ranked 34th in the Nation in the Heptathlon.

Deyanneira Colon Maldonado has been named an All-Academic Athlete by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2023 Track and Field seasons! The criteria to be named an All-Academic Athlete is; a grade point average of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale, and must have finished the indoor or outdoor season among the top 50 individuals as listed on the descending order lists on TFRRS. “Diesel” is double majoring in Biology and Communications, and finished this year ranked 25th in the nation in the Mile.

Steven Tinsley launched a PR in the Discus Throw of 46.79m at the Augustana Twilight meet. He’s now 3rd in school history!

Robbie Peterson Jr. cleared 2.03m (6’8”) in the High Jump at the Augustana Twilight Meet. A lifetime best which qualified him for the NCAA Outdoor Championships last week, and 3rd in school history!

Deyanneira Colon Maldonado ran a PR of 17:53.79 in 5,000 Meter Run at the Augustana Twilight Meet. She now holds the 4th fastest time in school history!

Mary Dietz ran a PR in the 100 Meter Hurdles at the Augustana Twilight Meet with a time of 15.94 seconds. Her time is now the 5th fastest in school history!

Emily Fetzer ran a PR in the 5,000 Meter Run at the Augustana Twilight Meet. Her time of 19:11.45 is now 10th in school history!
