The Columbia County Leadership Class of 2018 is collecting new and gently used shoes for students in K-12. If you are unable to donate shoes, we will be happy to take a monetary donation that will be used to purchase new shoes for the program. We are falling short of our goal! Please donate!

Did you know one out of every three students in Columbia County lives BELOW THE POVERTY LEVEL? Are you shocked? Did you know we currently have around 400 homeless students in the county? If this pulls at your heartstrings, please donate to Columbia County Community Connections! They work together with the school system to identify kids in need and get them the resources to help. They are funded by grants and donations - please consider giving a donation - even a small amount will help!

Kicks for Kids 2018 From now until Feb. 28, the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce is accepting donations of new or gently used shoes that will go to Columbia County students in grades K-12.

Beverly Peltier is one of the kindest persons I know at work and in the community. I gave her a kindness bracelet because she is kind to students and knows the legacy of George Duehring. Each semester Beverly works hard to support our Military and Special Population students as together we provide books to those students in need. Thanks Beverly for your kindness!!

I have watched this woman for months motivate our students in so many ways. Chef Partica Muse is a veteran and is Department Chair of the Culinary Department at Augusta Technical College. She trains her students to be the best chefs they can be! She recently worked with her students at the Columbia County Connections partnership luncheon. It was a great event and many were impressed with the professionalism. Thanks Partica for your kindness to all!

The Cleveland Group, CPAs are also helping to collect new and gently used shoes for our K-12 shoe drive! Tax season is here! Donate and get your taxes done!

Chick-fil-A Grovetown owner Erik and his awesome team have done many un-publicized random acts of kindness. Most recently, they jumped in to help when a local Grovetown resident wanted to surprise the teachers at Grovetown High School with breakfast! We awarded Erik and team with a 'Kindness Band," and challenged them to give away 4 more bands to those that they see doing a simple act of kindness. Thank you to CFA GT! We appreciate that you are always a willing servant to the community! (and we love those fries!)

We were able to track down Denise M. (and her daughter); who was the awesome woman that bought breakfast to the teachers at Grovetown High School today! We thanked her for her random act of kindness and love, and gave her a "Kindness Band." We also challenged her to award a kindness band to 2 other people for doing an act of kindness!
