Over the coming weeks, Usry-Wilson Educational & Leadership Consulting, LLC (UWELC) will begin rolling out our team and expanded service offerings. UWELC was created from a simple conviction:

Leadership Readiness is the Mission.
Our team brings together experienced educators prepared to support the real needs of today's educational leaders and families.

This next chapter is an expansion of my commitment to education. I am taking my years of experience, a practitioner’s perspective, a servant leader’s heart, and an unwavering belief in what is possible for children and schools and bringing it to a broader platform.

NEW CHAPTER IN SERVICE, LEADERSHIP & SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT
I am humbled and honored to announce that I will be serving as a School Effectiveness Specialist with the Georgia Department of Education. After serving in education as a teacher, counselor, administrator, and principal I am stepping into this opportunity with tremendous gratitude and a deep sense of purpose. My years as a principal have given me something that cannot be learned solely through theory: the perspective of a practitioner.

I have experienced the realities of school improvement firsthand.
I have led schools through significant challenges.
I have built and rebuilt teams.
I have worked through staff turnover and difficult transitions.
I have partnered with families and communities.
I have used data to identify problems, develop strategies, monitor progress, and adjust practice. Most importantly, I have learned that sustainable improvement happens when people, culture, leadership, and systems work together around a clear mission.

My transition to the Georgia Department of Education allows me to take those experiences and expand my impact beyond a single school. I look forward to partnering with school districts, principals, assistant principals, instructional leaders, educators, and communities as we work collectively to strengthen schools and improve outcomes for students in Georgia.
