Did you know GA ranks third nationally in total homeschooling participation?! There are so many educational opportunities, support groups and resources available to us… Hopping by with some facts about Tom!
🐸 We formulated our very own nonprofit, Tomstone incorporated. This sets us apart by allowing us to accept tax deductible donations and solidifies our operations longterm.
🐸 Our page does not use artificial intelligence to generate resources, graphics, posts or captions.. Hence, our website is still in progress and sometimes posts aren’t timely. We support small businesses, the environment and creative individuality by being 100% human(& toad). Tom was hand drawn by a student!
🐸 Learning can happen anywhere but a few things we love most… being outdoors, noticing the little things and getting a hands-in, behind-the-scenes experience with small business owners. Cake pops & Sword fighting, Candles & Power tools - We want to know more!
🐸 We host some occasional public events but prefer privacy when it comes to our scheduled group gatherings to help ensure safety.
🐸 In addition to this public page for host shout outs, there’s a private Tomschoolery Homeschool Group page for current homeschooling families listing in-person events.
🐸 We are volunteer led! Both pages are managed by our founder - with alternating parent volunteers welcoming attendees at our events. We’ve made magic happen.. yearbooks, tshirts, graduation and fundraisers all without four school walls.
🐸 All ages are welcome at our events! Some hosts may have target age ranges but primarily, students are encouraged to intermingle with tots-teens. Most students complete academics at home and then get together for Tom fun with everyone.
🐸 Our monthly staples are offered continuously to foster familiarity and consistency. We organize several Tomschoolery meetups weekly! If you joined all the groups in your area, tried a co-op or extracurricular sport, your calendar would soon be hoppin’… Socialization doesn’t have to be a concern!
🐸 Tomstone Supporters have access to weekly field trips and holiday parties! These events aren’t limited to one geographical area, widening the opportunity for adventure and novel enrichment.
🐸 We accept all families regardless of beliefs, ethnicities or lifestyles. No matter your affiliations, curriculums or world views - If you are homeschooling in NE Georgia, you are welcome to splash around with us. Stay kind & Tom on!
🐸 Yes, the private group is free to join. You’ll see a wide variety of free events. If you’d like to add even more to your calendar, message our admin to ask about becoming a Tomstone Supporter.
